This month our Lunch & Learn topic will be presented by: Interplay
AI as a Force Multiplier for Nonprofits
Running a nonprofit means doing a lot with a team that's always stretched thinner than the mission deserves. AI can feel like a luxury you don't have time to figure out -- but used well, it's a force multiplier that helps your team cover more ground, faster. In this plain-English Lunch & Learn, we'll walk through real, ethical ways to put AI to work on the work that eats your week: drafting grant applications, writing fundraising appeals, pulling impact reports from your data, and marketing your mission. No jargon, no hype — just concrete examples you can try the same day, plus the guardrails every nonprofit needs before AI gets anywhere near a donor or a grant.
Online Lunch & Lunch is a quarterly gathering that features a 45-minute deep dive with one of our Champion or Investor Business Members. Use your lunch break to grow your knowledge and expand your connections!

Brian Place
Brian Place is the founder and CEO (and Chief Cat Herder) of Interplay, a managed IT services firm he launched in 2001 after deciding there had to be a better way to support growing organizations. He works closely with clients to design secure, reliable, low-drama IT environments that let teams focus on their work instead of their stuff.
Brian is known for translating complex technology into practical strategy, building high performing teams, and ensuring clients get the highest quality IT services — hands-on, responsive, never outsourced or offshored. Outside of work, he enjoys lifting heavy things, experimenting with cocktails, cooking, and travel—generally applying the same curiosity and optimization mindset he brings to technology.
