One of Nonprofit Association of Washington's most exciting events is back! Join us for the 2027 Nonprofit Action Day + Legislative Reception!
Nonprofit Action Day 9:00AM-2:30PM PT
Join nonprofits from across WA state to advocate for our unique priorities on Tuesday, February 9, 2027. NAWA's Policy Team is hard at work organizing dozens of meetings with legislators and their staff* so we can discuss the NAWA legislative agenda with them. Our team will provide talking points and tips for a successful meeting. If there is time to discuss the issues of your specific nonprofit, we encourage you to do so but meetings with legislators will be focused on the collective issues of the greater WA state nonprofit sector, covered in the NAWA 2027 Legislative Agenda. Throughout the day, at the event HQ, we'll have presentations, mini workshops, policy related activities and some great opportunities to network within the nonprofit community.
*We will do our very best to schedule you a meeting with legislators in your district but, depending on staff capacity and NAWA’s legislative strategy, we may ask you to meet with other key legislators. We appreciate your understanding!
Action Summit 2:30PM-5:00PM PT
Make your voice heard! We'll be convening a group of people from all corners of the WA nonprofit community to vision our collective future as a healthy, thriving sector. Our work will be included in the National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) planning through 2030! Make your voice heard and help form the future of nonprofits in our country.
Legislative Reception 5:30PM – 7:00PM PT
Legislators and the nonprofit community across Washington are cordially invited to attend the 2027 Nonprofit Legislative Reception on Tuesday, February 9, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.* Heavy appetizers and drinks will be served and guests are invited to tour the mansions designated rooms and displays.
*Because of security protocols associated with the Governor's Mansion registration will close on February 2, 2027 at 5pm and registrations are not transferable. No late or day-of registrations for the Legislative Reception will be allowed. ID will be required to enter the reception and access will only be granted to people who register in advance of the deadline and are on the event security list.
Coffee/light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served throughout the day

Who Should Attend
Nonprofit leaders, staff, board, volunteers, and anyone who cares about nonprofits can participate in Nonprofit Action Day and the Legislative Reception.

Important Information about Safety and Health
To ensure the health and safety of attendees at our in-person events, NAWA will follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities regarding infectious diseases such as COVID-19. These regulations may change rapidly, so please check current government guidelines for the event location before attending. Please do not attend an in-person event if you feel sick or are showing symptoms known to be associated with COVID-19 or another infectious disease. NAWA will provide masks at all in-person events and anyone attending should feel comfortable requesting or wearing one.

Tiffany Brace
Policy Director, Nonprofit Association of Washington
Tiffany became Nonprofit Association of Washington’s Policy Director in October of 2022. She brings over 10 years of experience in social work, public policy, and advocacy across disability rights, voter engagement, education, childcare access, and healthcare. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from Seattle University and her Master of Social Work in Administration and Policy Practice from the University of Washington. Tiffany is passionate about supporting nonprofits, their workers, and those they benefit to advocate for a thriving Washington. When she’s not deep-diving into a policy proposal or meeting with advocates, Tiffany is often found baking up seasonal treats for the gluten free community. Tiffany will say yes to any invitation as long as her dog, Yuki, is invited too.
