Registrants will receive the webinar recording by email after the event. If there are breakout rooms, they will not be included in the recording. If you can’t attend the training but you are interested in learning about this topic, please register so we can send you the recording and materials.
Accessibility
Captioning: We will have automated captioning enabled.
Interpretation: Please indicate during registration if you have an interpretation request. Typically, we need at least two weeks in order to schedule an interpreter.
Visual Descriptions: Presenters will include visual descriptions of themselves and the slides to give a person who is low-vision, blind, or calling in without video a sense of space and place.

Carya Bair
Employer Outreach Specialist
Carya Bair is an Employer Outreach Specialist with Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. She helps employers save money, protect their workers’ compensation rates, and improve employee retention through employer incentive programs. With more than 20 years of experience in business engagement and relations. Carya teaches webinars, provides employer consultations, and presents at conferences and industry events across Washington State. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational and Mass Communications from Eastern Washington University and is passionate about helping employers navigate complex programs and connect with resources that support workers and businesses.
Lauri Cousineau, BA, CDMS
Vocational Services Specialist (VSS)
Lauri has over 20 years of vocational experience in Eastern Washington. She provides education and assistance to employers on light duty, the return-to-work process and the win-win for all. When people are valued and working, it promotes a quicker recovery and a healthy workforce. Employers who have a return-to-work culture are more efficient, productive and fiscally sound. She provides services to Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, Lower Valley, Moses Lake, Hermiston, Walla Walla, and Clarkston areas. Keep Washington safe & working!
Emily Skadorwa, MRC, CRC
Vocational Services Specialist (VSS)
Emily is a dedicated Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with a diverse background spanning vocational services, supported employment research, and social services. Her professional approach is deeply rooted in empathy, education, and a strength-based mindset.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Washington State University, followed by a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from Utah State University (USU). Throughout her career, she has championed workplace inclusivity as a job coach for individuals with developmental disabilities and contributed to key research and training projects at USU focused on supported employment. Her multifaceted expertise also includes impactful social services roles, notably serving as a Case Resource Manager for WA Department of Social and Health Services and as a Clinical Care Manager in the private sector. Emily is passionate about empowering both the employer and the employee and working toward dismantling barriers to meaningful employment.
